R.I.D.E DOWN
Are you on an R.I.D.E down? Do you feel like your life is a roller-coaster? Your life climbs slowly, reaches a peak and then spirals down to destruction, depression or despair? While others, like a gust of wind, blows from one good fortune to another.
The devil wants you to ride down. The devil wants you to be a passenger in his vehicle of no return. He will whisper his methods in your mind as often as needed. Whether you are a willing participant or performing this technique unaware, it is time to acknowledge your position and do something about it. The enemy’s technique is R.I D E. Reject, Ignorance Disobedience, and Encumber
Reject. To refuse to believe or accept God or any wise counsel. This is a common behavior. Many people don’t believe in God and His good works. Or, blames God for all the horrific things that may have occurred in their lives. Many people rely on themselves, friends, society or the government to make life decisions. The opposite of reject is to accept. Listen to God’s direction in your life.
A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels. Proverbs 1:5 (KJV)
Ignorance is the lack of knowledge about who you are, God exists and the Truth. There are so many lies and deceit in the world. It is difficult to decipher the truth from reality. Many people lack the fortitude to find out. It is easier to allow Facebook, Twitter or the media to become your sole knowledge base. The opposite of ignorance is knowledge. Know the truth, it will set you free. Read the Bible. Study the Word.
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32 (KJV)
Disobedience-Refusing to obey; not taking heed to laws, instructions, commands or guidance. In this case, disobedient to God’s Word and Wisdom. No one wants to obey God, because man thinks they have a better plan. Obey God and prosperity follows.
If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land. Isaiah 1:19 (KJV)
Encumber. To make heavy. To carry something heavy. The devil will constantly remind you of your shortcomings. He wants you to live in guilt, condemnation and shame. He wants your heart to be heavy. Suicide, depression and despair is on the rise. Have you checked out the news lately? Encourage yourself with prayer. Find rest in God and in His Word.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:29-30 (KJV)
If you read the post B.L.O.W (Believe, Listen Obey Wait) By, you will notice the devil’s method is the complete opposite of God’s method. Satan wants you to believe you can do all things alone. He wants you to turn from God and get in his vehicle and ride.
