WILLING: WAGE 3

I just don’t have the will.

Willing is a strong determination to do something. Nowadays, many people lacks the will to do anything. The qualities of perseverance and tenacity are lost. When the tough gets going, the tough falls apart and gives up. Things gets hard, people bail. The strong will has been replaced by the weak mind. Each generation is getting softer than the previous. Laziness triumphs hard work. There is no willingness to learn, propel or self-motivate.

In life, to achieve success in anything, you must have a strong will.  You must have the character or attitude and the eagerness to complete the tasks started.

Any strong characteristics we have attained in life will be challenged and weakened by the world’s’ ways. Many will fight until the end, while others will give up with the first sign of adversity. It is easy to give up. And, the devil will applaud you for doing so. He will send people and situations to derail you from your path. We may the desire to do something and the readiness, but the guidance to do it correctly and the strength to complete it, comes from the Lord.

God’s will is stronger than our will. Where we are weak, God will make us strong.

The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace. Psalm 29:11King James Version (KJV).

When we become weary, when we want to give up, when our willingness fails. We need to go to God and ask for strength to carry on.

He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:29-31King James Version (KJV)

Let’s look at this analogy of electricity. Before electricity can be used, your electric company must connect wires from their main source to your home, this may consist of underground cables, or electric poles. Once that is accomplished electricity is available in the house. Now, there must be a workable electrical outlet. Next, a device with a proper cord. You plug in the device and receive the desired effect.

Equate to God like an electric company, the Ultimate Power Source. Without Him, there is no main power.

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 2 Peter 1:3

Grace is the power/electricity that flows from the Source.

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: 2 Corinthians 9:8

We are the device.

And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. John 1:16 KJV

The proper cord is your faith. Faith is the connection. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. You must have the strong belief and trust that God exists and grace is available. We receive grace though faith.

By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Romans 5:2

The outlet is your heart. God works through your heart. If you believe in your heart that grace is available; that releases the power to have a restored and balanced life.

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Ephesians 3:20

You are the device receiving electricity from the main power source. If you have a faulty outlet and/or a damaged cord, you will not achieve your desired effect. You will be in the dark. Plug the cord of faith into the outlet of your heart and receive the electricity of grace from the Ultimate Power Source.

And [so that you will begin to know] what the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His [active, spiritual] power is in us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of His mighty strength. Ephesians 1:19Amplified Bible (AMP)

God has already given us the power to do all things. He will strengthen our will to succeed, But, we must plug in.
