RELAXATION

RELAXATIONRelaxation is the extension of rest. Relaxation is something you do to stop feeling nervous or worried. A way to rest and enjoy yourself.

What do you do during stressed time?

  1. Call a friend of family member to rehash the negative issue, allowing them to fuel the matter?
  2. Do you go into an angry frenzy? Saying and doing hurtful things to others and yourself?
  3. Or do you sob, cry and mourn, slipping into a depressive’s state?

All three of these examples, gives room for the devil to slip in and make sure you remain in the stressed, angry, depressive mood.

Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:27 Neither give place to the devil. Ephesians 4:26-27 (KJV).

What should you do? Stop going to the world for answers. There is no question, issue or trouble on earth, that Heaven does not have the answer, solution or the way out. When trials come your way, yield to God, and His Word. Power will be granted to sustain the devil and his wiles.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 (KJV)

Can you imagine how much relaxation could take place in your life when you realize there are spiritual avenues and simple relaxation techniques to perform?

  1. Saying a prayer
  2. Reciting scriptures
  3. Listening to calming  music
  4. Taking in deep breathing and exhaling slowly
  5. Thinking before reacting
  6. Taking control of your emotions

One important thing to do, have a meeting with yourself. Ask yourself questions. What is really going on? Is this a battle to fight? Is this going to rob me of peace? Am I allowing my emotions to drive me to dangerous places? Muzzling your emotions is a key factor. When you discover your journey with God and begin to comprehend His Wisdom , you will discover, it’s not about you. It will always be about God and His Word, Wisdom and Way.

Perform the relaxation techniques often. Relaxation can occur in everyday activities and during stressful time. Rely on God and allow Him to assist you in your relaxation quest.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)
