THE SEASON OF GROWTH

Spring is the season of growth and a time of new beginnings. During spring, temperatures are rising and life is sprouting. Spring is sandwiched between winter the coldest season and summer being the hottest season. Also, in many areas, spring is the rainy season.

Spring is considered a time of transformation. To transform means to change something completely or to change in character of a condition.

What do you want to transform this season? Let’s make this a time to transform your mind totally to God. Right now your mind is being sandwiched between the world’s way of thing and your way of thinking. During this season all the rain waters of the Word of God to flow in your mind, allowing the blessings to take bloom in your life.

 And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes… Romans 12:2 (AMP)

Renewing your mind reflects replacing your thoughts, your words and behaviors with God’s thoughts, Words and behaviors. To strip away your old way of thinking and cloth yourself with the power of the Word.

… That, regarding your previous way of life, you put off your old self [completely discard your former nature], which is being corrupted through deceitful desires, ²³ and be continually renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh, untarnished mental and spiritual attitude], Ephesians 4:22-23Amplified Bible (AMP)

Why do you think it is important to renew your mind with God? You will discover what God’s purpose is for your life. Isn’t that the ultimate question? What is your purpose in life?

… So that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you]. Romans 12:2 (AMP)

Also, renewing your mind allows you to realize God’s power for us and His mighty power in us.

… And [so that you will begin to know] what the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His [active, spiritual] power is in us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of His mighty strength. Ephesians 1:19 (AMP)

To know your purpose and to realize God’s power, you must read, study and hear God’s Word. This is the key. Anything you want to restore, convert, refurbish or renovate, you must learn how by reading, studying and hearing. God’s Word is no different. There is not a shortcut, an app or link to download or click. You must do the work to reap the benefits.
