Intro to Parent’s Path

It’s not easy. The road is difficult. But here we are. It is a must. We are losing our future—our children. Let’s save the children.

The world has become a scary place for our children to reside. Society rules and dictates ways of living. Our youth look up to athletes, actors and musicians as role models. Video games, electronic devices and social media are their educators. The upcoming generation are in slow mode, slow moving, slow thinking and slow acting. Their characteristics are selfish, aloof, disrespectful, lazy, and ill-mannered all encased with a sense of entitlement.

What happened? God was taken out of daily living, out of the homes, out of the schools and in some cases out of the churches. When God was taken out, the devil moved right in and God’s way of thinking was replaced with societal norms, governmental opinions, Hollywood’s influences and the worldly lusts.

People may say, it’s no different than in previous times. I beg to differ. The generation in question lack morals of respect, truth, honesty, humility, and more importantly love for self, others and God.

The solution is clear. Bring God back. Lean on Him. Obtain His Wisdom. Teach His Word. Recognize there is adversary: the devil roaming about, with a sole purpose to distract, deceive and destroy. It is imperative for the parents to realize the devil battles in the mind, attempting to influence the way of thinking for you and your children.

Parent’s Path is an avenue for parents to learn about God, His Word, Wisdom, Will and Way. It’s for the guardians who truly want a better life while raising their children. Common problems parents may face today will be addressed; using God as the Source and the Bible as the resource for results. Parents are the first line in helping the future generations, but the healer must first be healed.

During an airplane excursion, before takeoff, the flight attendant explains the procedures about donning the oxygen mask. They adamantly instruct you to put your oxygen mask on first before helping others. If you run out of oxygen, you can’t help anyone else with their oxygen mask. If you don’t care for yourself how can you adequately take care of anyone?

Can you relate to these issues?

  • I’m too busy.
  • I’m too tired.
  • I don’t know how.
  • What about me?
  • I’m lonely.
  • It’s too hard.
  • My house is a wreck.
  • I need help.
  • I’m afraid.
  • I must be in control.
  • I am not in control.
  • I’m broke.

The answers can be found in God and His Word. Stop shaking your head, sucking your teeth and rolling your eyes! Look at yourself! Look at your life. You are doing things your way. How is that working out for you? If you can relate to any of the issues above, it is not working out. Right now, what do you have to lose?

I was a single parent, raising my children alone. I can definitely relate to you and your trials. If I knew then, what I know now, life would have been easier. Parent’s Path will help you put your oxygen mask on first, then you can assist your children with their masks. It will take work. You must trust in God and not trust in yourself.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
