S.O.L

S.O.L, this urban term means S**T Outta Luck. Many of you clicked on this post, merely, out of curiosity. Just to confirm or deny if your luck has run out. Or, to explore what could this article possibly be about. For the record, I don’t believe in luck, I believe in blessings. That conversation is for another time. Well, my friend, this is not what you think. SOL, I am referring, is not s**t outta luck, but the Spirit Of the Lord, aka, the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is the GPS, God’s Personal Spirit, the directional navigator of our lives, dwelling in our hearts. Our GPS not only directs and guides, but He is our S.C.R.I.P.T our prescription from God. He is our:

Strengthener, He helps us through our weaknesses, illnesses and our frailties of life.

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Romans 8:26 (KJV)

Comforter, He consoles our worried, upset and frightened feelings, thoughts and behaviors.

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, John 14:26King James Version (KJV)

Recaller, He will help us to recall or remember the Word of God. And, also, to remind us that all things will work together for good for those love and trust God. And, we are the Righteousness of God.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 (KJV)

Intercessor, He intercepts, for our behalf, according to the Word to our Lord, God.

And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. Romans 8:27 (KJV)

Peacemaker, He is the peace in our hearts. Call upon Him (Peace), not the world’s peace, but God’s peace, and the spirit of peace will swell in your heart.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27 (KJV)

Teacher, He educates us in God’s Word, integrity, righteousness and most of all the truth.

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 14:26 (KJV)

The Holy Spirit, is yet another gift that the Lord has freely given you. If you were given a free satellite, mechanical GPS. You would turn it on, program it accordingly and allow it to guide and direct you to your destinations. Turn on God’s Personal Spirit by speaking the Word and through prayer, and allow Him, the Holy Spirit to lead and deliver you to your life destinations.

Like any prescription given by a physician, fill that script and use the prescribed medication and be healed. God’s Personal Spirit is our S.C.R.I.P.T fill the prescription from our Ultimate Physician and be healed.

Reflection Road

If you are in doubt, check it out. To keep it simple, there is no need to fall on your knees, clasp your hands or tilt your head toward the heavens. The Holy Spirit dwells in your heart. Sit down and talk to Him. You may feel uncomfortable, but introduce yourself to Him. Tell Him your reservations in believing of His existence. Ask Him for directions in a simple matter and wait and listen for His response. Remember, the devil will quickly whisper in your ear this is a foolish thing to do and it will not work. Or, when the response comes, the devil will convince you that you or some other source came up with the answer. The key is to recognize this is the Holy Spirit’s response and give credit to God.

Devil’s Drive

The devil knows and works overtime whispering negativity and immoral things in our heads, minds and thoughts, so that we become distracted and can’t hear the Holy Spirit’s voice in our hearts.

World’s Way

The world will convince you not to believe in some invisible spirit dwelling in your heart. The world perceives things through logical and analytical means, and relies on tangible objects. If it can’t be proven the world thinks it is not real. Trust and believe God and His Holy Spirit is more real than you could ever know.

Personal Pathway

When I totally gave myself to God and pleaded for Him to come into my disturbed life. I begged for His help because my life was in turmoil. I had not learned about God coming to dwell in my heart. I knew of God’s existence in heaven, but I did not grasp the concept where His Spirit resided. I felt the Holy Spirit, way before I realize what and who He was. The feeling was an anxious, wavy, nervous type of feeling in my chest. It was not an alarming activity to perceive that I had a heart or chest issue. It was just there. I began to notice this sensation would occur prior to some troubling event for me or my children. This chest reaction would occur and later, the event would follow. It was like a gentle alarm going off in my chest to alert me something was going to happen, but God would be with me. I relied on this awareness, when it occurred, I would say God, whatever is going to happen, I know You will be with me. These are my earlier experiences with the Holy Spirit and how He made me to know of His presence. Now, I know who the Holy Spirit is to me and I count on His guidance and direction in all facets of my hourly and daily life.
