Hate the Players! Hate the Game!

Playing any type of game, cards, board or sports, you must know the game and the players. The skill to play the game and knowing the rules and regulations is the beginning. Identifying and familiarizing with the opponents will enhance the ability to win. Without these factors, no competition can be won.

One of the greatest game to be won is Satan’s game of deception. Many are playing, but do not realize the game exists. It’s a match most will lose without the proper skills and determination.

Satan, the chief opponent is the inventor and founder of the game of deception. He deceives the world into thinking he doesn’t exist or he plays a minute portion in everyday life. This way he can be invisible, hiding behind the scenes causing havoc.

The principle rule is keep the deceitfulness going. He will use crafty tricks to accomplish this trait. One objective of the game is to convince people that all bad events, disease, death and destruction, are God’s fault. People not strong in the Word will cast angry and sorrow in the wrong direction. This ploy causes people to lose faith, trust and belief in God. Humanity turns away from Him, thinking God does not love them or is punishing them for something.

Another player in this racket includes society. The world defers to the ever changing current trends and fads available. Many of these movements are fast, foul and flawed. They do not line up with God and His will. This new culture has bent old rules and created new rules to allow anyone to do almost anything. Society dictates to over indulge. Release your inhibitions. It’s allowable to spend too much, eat too much and drink too much. This new attitude causes disease, death and destruction, but people blames God, not society.

The last of the players are unlearned individuals in the Word of God. With Satan deceiving and society dictating, mankind has a sense of entitlement with selfish, prideful, power-seeking, self-centered, jealous, ungrateful and unsatisfied attitudes. People want more things, but want to do as little as possible to achieve them. They believe they deserve certain amenities in life and often will do anything, at any cost to get them. This causes stress, crime, and depravity resulting in disease, death and destruction. People will not take accountability for their actions, they blame God.

God is not to blame for all gloom and doom. He has given man a choice of blessings and curses. Unfortunately many choose curses, society and their ungodly traits resulting in desolation.

Next time you hear of a calamitous event, think twice before blaming God. Now you know there are other players in the game. Players and characteristics orchestrated by the devil.

The game of deception is an ongoing game. Hate the game. Truth is the answer. God is the Source. The Bible is the resource.

Reflection Road

• Do you blame God for everything wrong that happens? Why? Do you realize God has granted us choices?
• Have you made bad choices? After a wrong outcome happens, do you blame God? Do you take accountability for your actions?
• Are you mad at God for something? Why? Have you considered the other players in life?
• Do you think God is mad at you? He is not. Talk to God about the issue? Let the Holy Spirit grant you peace.

Devil’s Drive

Satan mimics God’s good gifts with bad traits. He replaces love of God and fellowman with selfishness. Instead of doing for others, selfishness reflects doing for yourself. Peace is replaced with stress. Righteousness is turned to immorality. Joy is gone and sorrow comes. Do you see the pattern?

World’s Way

Most do not realize, the devil is the prince of this world. Whatever he dictates the world will follow, unless you are rooted and grounded in God.

Personal Pathway

I pray every day not to be deceived. Deceive is to cause to accept as true and valid but is false and invalid. I have dealt with people that appear to be friends who were not. In the past, I have gotten into relationships with men who appeared to be valid, but was invalid. Pray not to be deceive. What appears to be true may not be.
