OMG vs O.I.T

O.M.G, Oh My God, has become a popular saying, used primarily by teenager in texts and communication. However, the term has gained great popularity and is being used by older populations. O.M.G is an acronym to express surprise or disgust. Though it is a common statement, accepted by most, as a humorous and harmless, reciting this expression is wrong.

The truth is, you are calling upon the name of God for no specific reason. Why would you call upon God to express your like or dislike about a lipstick color. Oh My God that lipstick color is awful.

Let’s say this comment is used out of fear. Are you stating the term because you actually want the aid of God, or something that rolls from your lips out of habit? If it’s the latter, you should refrain from using the term.

Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. Exodus 20:7 (KJV)

Think about it. How would you feel that if someone called your name 50 times a day for no reason? Is fire and brimstone going to rain from the sky if you continue to use the term? No. However, you are expressing respect to a higher power to abstain from the saying.

There is a term that shows respect and can assist you during good and bad times. You can recite the term as many times a day, if needed. The term is O.I.T, on, in, though. The term reflects God shines On you, In you and Through you.

On me, you are asking God to cast a covering of protection upon you. In me, He is working in your mind and heart, for you to make sound decisions and perform good behaviors. And through me, His blessings will go through you to others. You will be an example of God’s goodness.

When you are going to a new job and you are nervous you can recite: I will super-exceed the expectations of this job, because God shines O.I.T, on me, in me and through me.

If your finances are taking a beating, recite: My finances will super-exceed all expectations because God shines O.I.T.

You were granted an unexpected $1000.00 check. Thank you Lord for this gift. It was your blessings, because You shine O.I T.

The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: 25 The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: 26 The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. Numbers 6:24-26 (KJV)

Stop saying O.M.G to express your pain, strain and distain. Declare O. I. T, to pacify your pain, solve your strain and destroy your distain.

B.L.O.W BY

A fast runner blows by their opponents. A gust of wind can blow an object down the street. You can blow to your destiny and blow to your prosperity. As the spirit blows, so can you.

To blow means to move or run quickly; to be in motion. How do you blow to a better place? Use God’s B.L.O.W method, Believe, Listen, Obey, Wait. God wants you to breeze to your destination that He has prepared for you.

Believe God exists. Today, people don’t believe in God, at least not fully. They believe He may exist, but blame Him for all the horrific things that goes on in the world. They may believe in Him, but if a prayer goes unanswered, they are quick to give up on Him. And there are others who just don’t believe. Today, people believe more in themselves and their self-efforts and feel there is no need to believe in a Higher Power, because they are doing just fine. In the B. L.O.W method, the first step is abandoned because of unbelief. Believe in Him. Believe in His good works. Believe in His gifts, that He offers freely (love, grace, peace, joy, etc.) Believe that He has a good plan for our lives.

… Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper. 2 Chronicles 20:20 (KJV)

Listen to God. Listens means to pay attention in order to hear what is being said. To hear and understand that a message is important and serious. Distractions cause many not to hear the Word of God. There are so many other voices shouting in the mind, it is difficult to hear the correct voice. If God’s Word is heard, if it makes one feel uncomfortable, something that one does not want to do, or anything that is too difficult, the message is not perceived. The second step in the B.L.O W method is not heeded because it was not heard or disregarded. Learn to tune into the station WGOD, your life will be changed.

Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding. Proverbs 4:1 (KJV)

Obey. To do what is told of you; to follow commands, guidance or instructions. Stubbornness and rebellion pulsate in our society. Children are disobedient to parents. Employees are disobedient to employers. It appears no one wants to obey. Every man has their own plan. Stop disobeying the things that will make your life easier. Obey God’s plan. He has great expectations for your life.

For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11Amplified Bible (AMP)

Wait. To remain in a constant state until whatever is hoped or expected comes to pass. Patience is the one of the most difficult stages to achieve. People are addicted to comfort. And they want, what they want, right now. The world has contributed to this behavior, with ATM, high speed internet, fast food and other quick fix items, to wait is a thing of the past. But, think about it. There is a season for everything. Would you mow grass with snow on the ground, put a roof on a house in the middle of a rainstorm, or plant spring flowers in the winter? No, you would wait for the proper season or time to accomplish those goals. We must remember some things in life might require to wait for a particular season. The truth is, being inpatient does not bring anything any faster. It only brings frustration and anger. Learn to wait for God. His timetable is not yours.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV)

Use God’s B.L.O.W method and watch how fast you breeze to prosperity and more.

R.I.D.E DOWN

Are you on an R.I.D.E down? Do you feel like your life is a roller-coaster? Your life climbs slowly, reaches a peak and then spirals down to destruction, depression or despair? While others, like a gust of wind, blows from one good fortune to another.

The devil wants you to ride down. The devil wants you to be a passenger in his vehicle of no return. He will whisper his methods in your mind as often as needed. Whether you are a willing participant or performing this technique unaware, it is time to acknowledge your position and do something about it. The enemy’s technique is R.I D E. Reject, Ignorance Disobedience, and Encumber

Reject. To refuse to believe or accept God or any wise counsel. This is a common behavior. Many people don’t believe in God and His good works. Or, blames God for all the horrific things that may have occurred in their lives. Many people rely on themselves, friends, society or the government to make life decisions.  The opposite of reject is to accept. Listen to God’s direction in your life.

A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels. Proverbs 1:5 (KJV)

Ignorance is the lack of knowledge about who you are, God exists and the Truth. There are so many lies and deceit in the world. It is difficult to decipher the truth from reality. Many people lack the fortitude to find out. It is easier to allow Facebook, Twitter or the media to become your sole knowledge base. The opposite of ignorance is knowledge. Know the truth, it will set you free. Read the Bible. Study the Word.

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32 (KJV)

Disobedience-Refusing to obey; not taking heed to laws, instructions, commands or guidance. In this case, disobedient to God’s Word and Wisdom. No one wants to obey God, because man thinks they have a better plan. Obey God and prosperity follows.

If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land. Isaiah 1:19 (KJV)

Encumber. To make heavy. To carry something heavy. The devil will constantly remind you of your shortcomings. He wants you to live in guilt, condemnation and shame. He wants your heart to be heavy. Suicide, depression and despair is on the rise. Have you checked out the news lately? Encourage yourself with prayer. Find rest in God and in His Word.

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:29-30 (KJV)

If you read the post B.L.O.W (Believe, Listen Obey Wait) By, you will notice the devil’s method is the complete opposite of God’s method. Satan wants you to believe you can do all things alone. He wants you to turn from God and get in his vehicle and ride.

Now, that you know about the R.I.D.E, what are you going to do about it? Ride on or Blow by?
